The Legend of Beroa
The Princess of the Eakides
Beroa was a princess from the Eakides. When the fugitives reached the court of Glaucus, they went to the palace, where they found Glaucus and Beroas; and, after recounting the story of their danger and escape, laid the child on the ground, as a supplicant at the king's feet.
The king's heart was so moved by this silent prayer, that he took the child in his arms, immediately banishing all careful thoughts from his mind, and in conclusion, delivered the boy to the queen, Beroas, addressing her to raised him with his own children.
